Somthing to Think About

“What if a demon were to creep after you one night, in your loneliest loneliness, and say, 'This life which you live must be lived by you once again and innumerable times more; and every pain and joy and thought and sigh must come again to you, all in the same sequence. The eternal hourglass will again and again be turned and you with it, dust of the dust!' Would you throw yourself down and gnash your teeth and curse that demon? Or would you answer, 'Never have I heard anything more divine'?”
What would your answer be???

Shades of Winter
This is what the place looked like after the 2nd snowfall of the season. Yes that is my truck under that pile of snow. It has been raining the last 2 days but so far no new snow. I still want fall and am definitely not ready for winter yet.

Family, Thankfullness, Joy, and Love
Today I am thankful for the special people in my life...for the joy they bring...for the unconditional love they give...and for the inspiration they are for me to keep my life in a positive place. I love you Mom, Dad and Jason aka sonshine!!!
MOM
From the moment I came into this world, and opened my big blue eyes. I knew that I was looking at an Angel, because the heart it never lies.
Through all of life's hard struggles, this Angel has always been there. Always hanging on when the ride got rough, always showing how much she cares.
For life is a constant struggle, more now than ever before. Much too hard for an Angel, oh how I wish I could give her more.
The days they pass so quickly. Each one faster than the last. But we know that we must go forward, and not dwell on mistakes of the past.
And so we venture on through this hateful world, though my Angel she is always calm. So I'll follow on always together with this Angel that I call mom.
DAD
He never looks for praises
He's never one to boast
He just goes on quietly working
For those he loves the most
His dreams are seldom spoken
His wants are very few
And most of the time his worries
Will go unspoken too
He's there.... A firm foundation
Through all our storms of life
A sturdy hand to hold to
In times of stress and strife
A true friend we can turn to
When times are good or bad
One of our greatest blessings,
The man that we call Dad.
SONSHINE
I never want this to go unsaid,
So here in this poem, is for it to be said.
There are no words to express how much you mean to me,
A son like you, I thought could never be.
Because the day you were born, I just knew,
God sent me a blessing- and that was you.
For this I thank Him everyday,
You are the true definition of a son, in everyway.
It is because of you that my life has meaning,
Becoming a mom has shown me a new sense of being.
I want you to know that you were the purpose of my life,
Out of everything I did- it was you that I did right.
Always remember that I know how much you care,
I can tell by the relationship that we share.
For a son like you there could be no other,
And whether we are together or apart,
Please do not ever forget-
You will always have a piece of my heart.

Empty Nesting Again
Today, Jason and Ian will be leaving to go back home. It is bitter sweet. It has been so good to have them here. We have been to Yellowstone and got to see its beauty cloaked in white...driven the back roads to Bozeman to see the open prairie now in fall browns and tans....the mountain tips covered in snow....gone to a couple of restaurants I haven't been to before and had some great food....played Bingo at the Moose Lodge (yes we even won...LOL)....and just thoroughly enjoyed spending our time together. I am so thankful for being able to have this time together, for beautiful weather while they have been here and for their driving up and back, and for the love that we share.
It is really going to be hard to see them go!

The Beauty of Yellowstone
Dad....The pictures of the elk are for you. The bulls are finally out of the velvet and this one had a huge rack!!!
This is the first time I have been to Yellowstone when there is snow. It is so beautiful and I am thankful to have to opportunity to see it and to share it with my son who I love so much.

Fun With Jason and Ian
Tuesday we braved the snow in Yellowstone. It was so much fun and a lot warmer than we thought it would be.

Black Elk Prayer for Peace

Hear me, four quarters of the world-- a relative I am! Give me the strength to walk the soft earth. Give me the eyes to see and the strength to understand, that I may be like you. With your power only can I face the winds. Great Spirit...all over the earth the faces of living things are all alike. With tenderness have these come up out of the ground. Look upon these faces of children without number and with children in their arms, that they may face the winds and walk the good road to the day of quiet. This is my prayer' hear me! ~ Black Elk

Family and Facebook

I have seen the flurry of emails today and everyone's opinions. I do respect all the opinions that all of you have....we are entitled to that. But PLEASE though all the thought processes remember all the good strides we have made to make things better in our family. Don't let the differences tear us apart again. I have posted here rather to get involved in the emails because as Ann said...."you can't see a person's face or know the intent of the words in an email" well said Ann. I want our family to be strong and bound in love and tolerance for our individuality. So please think about this before it gets blown out of proportion and someone gets their feelings hurt. We are all different but we are beautiful, loving, strong and hopefully tolerant and forgiving as well.
I love you all unconditionally for who you are, just the way you are!!!!
Just a few quotes on family I hope you will enjoy,
Families are like fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts. ~Author Unknown
If you don't believe in ghosts, you've never been to a family reunion. ~Ashleigh Brilliant
We all grow up with the weight of history on us. Our ancestors dwell in the attics of our brains as they do in the spiraling chains of knowledge hidden in every cell of our bodies. ~Shirley Abbott
Family: A social unit where the father is concerned with parking space, the children with outer space, and the mother with closet space. ~Evan Esar
A family is a unit composed not only of children but of men, women, an occasional animal, and the common cold. ~Ogden Nash

Thought For The Day
"When the way you feel is controlled by a condition, you can never influence a change in the condition; but when you are able to control the way you feel within a condition, then you have the power to influence change in the condition."

March Of Dimes Jail And Bail.....HELP!!!!!

SET ME FREE! …and help the March of Dimes arrest the rising rate of premature birth. 1 in 8 babies is born to soon, and often too small. These tiniest babies struggle to survive, and too often many don’t.
I will soon be incarcerated in the March of Dimes Jail & Bail where I will be served only the finest bread and water (okay, maybe lunch!) You can help ensure my good behavior through your contribution. My hard earned bail will aid and abet the March of Dimes in funding lifesaving programs of research, education and community services. Programs that will save babies’ lives.
The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
This is a great cause. I don't know who nominated me to go to jail and have a bond of $500 but I know it is in good fun and for all the right reasons. If you would like to help me with the bond and help a lot of babies and families along the way I would really appreciate it. Here is the link to the website and to donate on line.
http://jailandbail.marchofdimes.com/ladyrainz
It is tax deductible and can you think of a better way to spend a few dollars???
Thanks for all your help.

Its Snowing

This is what I woke up to this morning. All the mountains surrounding Livingston are covered in white and we have seen small flurries in the valley but thank goodness it is not sticking yet. It totally amazes me that it can be 80 here one day and snow the next. I am beginning to think I might actually like living here....at least till the snow sticks on the roads...LOL
